Jose Mourinho has been cleared by the FA following his sending off in the Carling Cup Final.

The FA will not level any charge against the Blues boss who made 'be quiet' gestures to Liverpool supporters behind his dug-out at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on Sunday.

The FA said: "There will be no further action taken in respect of this matter," confirmed an FA statement. "Jose Mourinho has been reminded of his responsibilities to the game."
