Is Danny Mills the new John Terry

I watched the reserves beat Wolves 1-0 on TV yesterday and was immensely impressed by a young Chelsea centre-back.

Danny Mills is only 16 but a strapping 6ft 3 plus tall..

He was elegant, unruffled and his distribution of the ball efficient.

It's tough putting pressure on a player of such tender age and Chelsea-Mad certainly won't. But I shall be popping along to see the U-18s play Fulham on Saturday.

I hope Mills plays but will also be looking out for some other stars of the future.

Paulo Ferreira played the full 90 minutes as part of his recuperation from a long-term injury.

Unlike Joe Cole, Paulo was not given a Champions League number and so stayed behind as the first team laboured in Cyprus.
