Inter CEO Confirms Talks With Christian Eriksen's Agent & Offers Update on Olivier Giroud Interest

Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta has confirmed that the club are in talks with Christian Eriksen's agent over a possible move to San Siro - adding the Italian outfit are also looking at Chelsea stars Olivier Giroud and Victor Moses.

Eriksen is approaching the end of his contract at Tottenham Hotspur but it's expected he'll be sold in a cut-price deal in the January transfer window, with many expecting the Dane's substitute appearance against Watford to be his last for the club.

Inter have been most notably linked with Eriksen, and despite confirming that Inter are in talks with the player's agent, Inter's CEO Marotta insists that there are still plenty of other clubs who are looking to complete a deal.

"We're in talks with Eriksen's agent but there are many clubs interested in him," Marotta said, quoted by Fabrizio Romano.

Tottenham are looking to receive a €20m bid before agreeing to sell Eriksen's this month - Inter have offered €13m - and the Italian club's persistent interested has prompted José Mourinho to hit out at manager Antonio Conte.

"I think Antonio [has been meddling]," he said. "I think it was publicly. He is very positive that Eriksen is coming to Inter. We shouldn’t speak about players from other clubs until they become our players.

"If Inter are confident, they are confident because they are ready to make us an offer, which didn’t happen yet. So, when I see people speaking, especially people with responsibilities, I am a little bit surprised."

Marotta also offered an update on their pursuit of Chelsea striker Giroud - he was brought to Chelsea by Inter boss Conte - and even suggested the club could make a move for Moses, who is currently on loan with Süper Lig club Fenerbahçe.

"We'll decide also about Giroud on next days," Marotta added. "Victor Moses is a possibility."
