General manager Uli Hoeness said: "We have spoken with Chelsea and his agent. We will look into it more when the time is right."

Jurgen Klinsmann has told Huth he must be a Chelsea regular in the build-up to the 2006 World Cup or risk losing his international place.

Huth has a contract at Stamford Bridge until 2008.

Chelsea meet the German side in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, with the first leg at Stamford Bridge on 6 April.
