Hiddink officially the boss

Guus Hiddink is officially Chelsea's new manager.
The Dutchman, 62, who will also be full-time coach to Russia, has become temporary boss of Chelsea until the end of the season.

As predicted yesterday in Chelsea-Mad, Chelsea would announce their choice to replace sacked Scolari within 24 hours.
And almost to the second, Hiddink has being given the job.

Hiddink is away with his other job at the moment but will be flying in on Thursday to meet the players and er... do... whatever he wants.
The personal choice of Roman Abramovich, Hiddink has long being admired by the Chelsea owner.
Chelsea has being rocked in recent days by accusations of player power, splits within the playing camp and behind the scenes meetings with Abramovich.
With chief executive Peter Kenyon on holiday, it's being stated that Roman acted personally to end the debacle that was threatening to destroy Chelsea's season.
Roman was seen at the Bridge yesterday as was Scolari who has got all the severance pay due to him as stated in his contract.
Ray Wilkins will have a massive job on his hands in the coming days to prepare the Blues for Saturday's FA Cup clash at Watford.
If player splits are evident, then there will be deeper scars to heal than just replacing one ageing (sorry, vastly experienced) manager with another.
I suspect that Roman will read the riot act later this week to the players, reminding them of their responsibilities and their contracts.
We shall see....
