Hernan Staying Put

Hernan, signed last August for £16.8 million from Inter Milan, has failed to command a regular starting berth in the Chelsea side. A lack of pre season training and also a series of niggling injuries have played a huge part in this, as we lost him from the end of December until mid Febuary.

Speaking in the Daily Star (!), Hernan said "I refuse to leave Chelsea despite the fact that it looks like they could have contacted as many as 20 forwards.

"I came to London to succeed and I know I'll do that.

"The speculation about how many strikers might join Chelsea does not bother me, or that I should be sold."

Rumours suggest that Chelsea will use Hernan as part exchange for either AC Milan's Andrei Shevchenko or Juventus' David Trezeguet...
