Mikael is currently contracted to Birmingham until January but, assuming Chelsea have no serious injury worries, he will remain in the Midlands for the rest of the season.

And that suits Mikael just fine: "I am really happy here and that is what I have been saying for the past two months. Everything is looking good.

"I am playing in every game and I want to score more goals. I have already said that I want to play here for the rest of the season if that is possible. From my point of view, if Birmingham want me I want to stay."

And Steve Bruce also wants the Finn to stay for as long as possible! He said "Mikael is very happy here. He has found it a bit different and coming from Chelsea, who wouldn't. But he is enjoying playing here and the run he is having in the team."

So, all the signs point to Mikael Finn-ishing the season with Birmingham!
