Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard is keen on securing a move away from Parkhead in January, amid mounting interest from Premier League clubs.
The 21-year-old has been highly impressive since joining from Paris Saint-Germain, initially on loan back in 2017, and has scored 13 goals in 17 Scottish Premiership appearances this season.
Edouard's continued good form has inevitably led to talk of whether or not he is capable of playing at a higher level, and 90min understands that a number of Premier League clubs are interested in striking a deal - with the Frenchman keen to pursue the possibility of moving on.
Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham have all been keeping tabs on Edouard's progress north of the border, and he's considered a viable alternative to Lyon's Moussa Dembele - who has also been tracked by all three clubs - given his goalscoring prowess.
But there are stumbling blocks to a potential winter move. Celtic, understandably, are reluctant to part company with Edouard at this stage of this season, given their title battle with fierce rivals Rangers. They are also through to the last 32 of the Europa League, and have a tricky two-legged tie with Copenhagen in February.
A shortage of options to manager Neil Lennon up front is another issue. Leigh Griffiths, who has struggled with various injuries over the years, is the only other recognised first team striker in Celtic's squad, and he's started just one Scottish Premiership game this season.
Those factors are unlikely to see Celtic sanction a move, despite Edouard's belief that he can make an impact in the Premier League.
United, Chelsea and Tottenham do have others lines of enquiry they could pursue, and that could open the door for a potential move to Crystal Palace.
Roy Hodgson's side have lacked firepower throughout his two-and-a-half year reign, and The Sun note that Edouard is the club's first choice target. However, the Eagles recognise that a move won't happen straight away, shifting their focus back to former loanee Michy Batshuayi, who is currently a peripheral figure at Chelsea.
Wherever he ends up, Edouard will offer a genuine goal threat. He has 28 goals in 49 Scottish Premiership games for Celtic, and has also netted an astonishing 11 times in just six games for France's Under-21s, having scored at a better than a goal a game ratio at Under-17 level.
