A comment on the PA Sport website reads: "The Press Association understands that the news was broken to Ranieri by club director Eugene Tenenbaum, with chief executive Peter Kenyon informing his representatives earlier on Monday."

This should come as no surprise to most Chelsea fans, who would expect nothing less from Peter Kenyon!
