Connect With - Chelsea's Timo Werner, Reece James & Marcos Alonso

After taking over as Chelsea's official shirt sponsor towards the end of last season, Three has made an active effort to give Blues fans some extra insight into day-to-day life at their club - helping to connect them to the game.

The telecommunications giants will sponsor Chelsea's shirts for the next three years, with the two parties eager to work together and bring a more modern twist on what it takes to be an official partner of a team.

With a view to helping fans get closer to the squad, Chelsea stars Timo Werner, Reece James and Marcos Alonso sat down to discuss what life is like behind the scenes at Stamford Bridge. From Werner's surprisingly impressive initiation song to Tammy Abraham's obsessive love for Instagram, the trio dished the dirt on their team-mates with some hilarious stories.

Some of their revelations came as little surprise. The group wasted little time in naming Kurt Zouma as the player with the best banter, with James adding that he's "always messing around, playing around and he's got jokes".

"He's a funny guy," Werner added. "Yesterday, I sat next to him and he always speaks to himself. I don't know why!"

The group also discussed their team WhatsApp chat, revealing that it's usually the same two players who tend to dominate the conversations in there.

"Maybe [Olivier] Giroud," Alonso revealed, with laughs from his team-mates suggesting he's got the answer right. "He loves to answer to everything."

James' suggestion of Jorginho also went down fairly well, and Werner added: "The other guys maybe send some emojis but those two guys are always texting."

Frank Lampard's Blues have got off to an impressive start this season, scoring plenty of goals and picking up impressive victories against the likes of Brighton and Crystal Palace, while they travel to Manchester United this weekend in a crunch early season battle.

New faces like Werner, Kai Havertz, Thiago Silva and Ben Chilwell all appear to be settling well at Stamford Bridge, with Lampard hopeful that his new-look side will be able to take the next step in pursuit of silverware this season.
