Confirmed Images of 2020/21 Chelsea Home Kit Appear Outside Stamford Bridge

Images of Chelsea’s new home kit for 2020/21 have been spotted outside Stamford Bridge as the club appears for the official launch later this week.

The images adorn billboards nearby and appear to confirm previous leaks of the new jersey, which is the first Chelsea shirt to feature mobile network Three as the main sponsor.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek, breakthrough starlet Billy Gilmour and Marcos Alonso are the three players who can be seen wearing the new kit in in the advertising in the particular image that has been shared by fans on social media.

The kit is supplied by Nike, with Three replacing Yokohama Tyres on the front. The shirt features dark blue trim on the neckline, cuffs and down the sides, which is a fresh and updated new look for Chelsea, whose primary trim is usually white.

Close up leaked images have also previously highlighted a graphic pattern within the base colour.

The official launch is expected to come later this week.

Chelsea are among the clubs expected to try and challenge new Premier League champions Liverpool next season and have already been active in the transfer market to strengthen.

Both Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner, two of the most exciting attacking players in Europe over the last couple of years, are already confirmed new additions.

Timo Werner has agreed to join Chelsea in £50m deal

Unlike many clubs, whose spending power has been badly hurt by the coronavirus crisis, Chelsea have had the opportunity to bring in new high profile signings. A significant reason for that was actually last summer’s transfer ban and a lack of activity in January, which has meant the £145m or so raised from player sales during that time had gone unspent.

The Blues remain linked with Bayer Leverkusen forward Kai Havertz, although manager Frank Lampard recently denied that a formal bid has already been made for the 21-year-old.
