Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is a man who should be shouting from the rafters about how good his world-class players are but he has the demeanour of an undertaker about lower a loved-one into the ground.

C'mon Carlo, lighten up - be as confident as your players.
You don't have to be a Mourinho but at least reflect the positive nature of the team who dismantled Burnley with ruthless efficiency and went top of the league - with four straight victories.

Speaking after the 3-0 victory over Burnley the Italian said: "I am happy. We showed good play in the first half, but we have to maintain that for 90 minutes.

"The players are improving and their confidence is high.

". I know football and all it's possibilities. If we don't score it can be more difficult - but we were lucky to score (t half-time) but while it was 0-0, it was not a problem.

"We needed to maintain concentration and quick play throughout the game.

"As for my formation, I propose the idea and the players picked it up.
All the players are in good condition - Ballack is doing very well with a good mental attitude. He is a very generous player."

Then unable to contain himself, he revealed his ambitions for the season.

"We have a possibility to win the league.

"The season is very long and it will be difficult.

"But I know that we will step up to meet the difficult times."

Burnley boss Owen Coyle tried to spin some positives from the 3-0 mauling: "I felt we tried to play in the first half. We came with a game plan.

"We had one or two opportunities, but Chelsea had a host of chances.

"maybe their first goal was offside, but Chelsea deserved to win. We are disappointed - we will take the medicine but Chelsea have world-class players.

"We needed to be focussed, and Lampard can play in any world team. But there are some positives for us.

"I told my players that there is no problem in missing chances, so long as we are creating them.

"I have a remarkable group of players and Brian Jensen 9the goalkeeper) is just one of them.

"But our strength is in our group.

Chelsea ran out comfortable winners.

If there is any money available, then I will spend it. We have the lowest budget in the league. It's not a disgrace to come to Chelsea and lose.
