Steve Clarke is set to have talks today with the Motherwell board with a view to succeeding Billy Davies as Fir Park manager.

But Motherwell director of football Pat Nevin has contacted former Blues team-mate Clarke with a view to his availability, and he will now travel north to meet with officials from the club.
Clarke as a player made over 400 appearances for Chelsea over a 10-year period.
When Ruud Gullit became manager of Newcastle he took Clarke with him as a coach, and although he stayed for a while when Bobby Robson took over at St James' Park, he came back to Stamford Bridge towards the end of last season when the then youth team coach Jim Duffy left to join Graham Rix at Portsmouth.
