Christian Pulisic criticizes level of support for USMNT's 3-0 win vs Morocco

Christian Pulisic claimed he was 'not super happy' with the level of support for the United States Men's National Team's 3-0 win over Morocco on Wednesday evening.

The friendly was hosted at FC Cincinnati's TQL Stadium in Ohio in front of 19,512 fans, some way short of the stadium's 26,000 capacity. A large number of those in attendance were also in support of Morocco.

Nevertheless, the USMNT put on an impressive display, winning the match 3-0 thanks to goals from Brenden Aaronson, Timothy Weah, and debutant Haji Wright. Those that were present enjoyed an excellent, free-flowing performance, but that didn't stop Pulisic - who assisted Aaronson's opener - from lamenting an apparent lack of support on home soil.

“For whatever reason, I'm not super happy with the amount of Americans here, however that works out, if I'm being completely honest,” the Chelsea forward said after the match. “But thanks to the ones who did come, and the support is always great from them.

“I mean, it was a great win; we're really happy. We started really well, got that early goal and yeah, just a really strong performance. But yeah, it's nice to be back in America and playing again.”

Single match tickets for the USMNT's next friendly against Uruguay - at Sporting Kansas City's Children's Mercy Park stadium - start at $76, with some regular seats even costing in excess of $160 before fees.

Following the Uruguay fixture, Gregg Berhalter's side face Grenada and El Salvador in the Conacaf Nations League.
