Chelsea vs Leicester: TV channel, live stream, team news & prediction

Chelsea host Leicester City on Thursday night fresh from ensuring their place in next season's Champions League due to Arsenal's defeat on Monday night.

The Blues have endured a tricky calendar year, and are sixth in the form table for the second half of the season. They also lost their second final of the season last Saturday, succumbing to Liverpool on penalties in the FA Cup, just as they did in the Carabao Cup.

Meanwhile, Leicester have recovered from a wobble to win twice on the bounce and move into the top half of the table. A win here would see them take eight spot off of Wolves.

Here is everything you need to know about the game...

Chelsea team news

Thomas Tuchel hopes to have Kai Havertz available for this one, but fellow German Timo Werner is definitely ruled out. Mateo Kovacic is a major doubt and there is not expected to be a return for Andreas Christensen, whose sudden absence in the FA Cup final has raised a few questions.

Ben Chilwell and Callum Hudson-Odoi are out for the season.

Leicester team news

Danny Ward was a surprise inclusion for Leicester last time out but Brendan Rodgers has revealed that captain Kasper Schmeichel will return between the sticks here.

Long-term absentees Wilfred Ndidi and Ryan Bertrand will miss out alongside Ricardo Pereira and Hamza Choudhury. Nampalys Mendy was taken off due to illness against Watford, leaving the Foxes short in midfield - particularly with Boubakary Soumare seemingly being given the cold shoulder.

Chelsea vs Leicester score prediction

Neither of these sides have anything to play for on paper but they will be keen to finish off underwhelming seasons in the best way possible.

Leicester have played slightly better in recent weeks but they face a tough task to down Chelsea away from home.

We are likely to see history repeat itself here - Chelsea recovered from an FA Cup final defeat last season to dispatch Leicester in the Premier League just a few days later.

Prediction: Chelsea 3-2 Leicester
