Third is sole focus for Benitez
Interim manager Rafael Benitez insists his focus is on the task in hand - finishing third in the Barclays Premier League with Chelsea.
If Europa League winners Chelsea beat Everton, they will secure third place and end the prospect of a May 26 play-off with Arsenal to determine who claims the final automatic qualifying place for the Champions League.
A deciding contest could be required if the Blues, the 2012 Champions League winners, and the Gunners, who play at Newcastle, finish equal on points, goal difference and goals scored.
"We have to approach the day thinking about winning," Benitez said.
"We have to consider all the scenarios. The first one is we want to win, so I don't expect any draw - I expect we can win.
"The second one is if Arsenal win."
Tottenham are also in the mix, but, due to their vastly inferior goal difference, it would take two miraculous results for Spurs to overtake Chelsea, whom they trail by three points.
"Tottenham and Arsenal both, for me, will try to win," Benitez said.
"They play for something really, really important and then it will be different for Sunderland and Newcastle. [But] still they [Sunderland and Newcastle] are professionals and they will try to win."
Captain John Terry (ankle), midfielder Eden Hazard (hamstring) and left-back Ryan Bertrand (knee) will miss out.
But striker Demba Ba is available after being ineligible in Amsterdam.
Forward Victor Moses (leg) and midfielder John Obi Mikel (hip) were unused substitutes in midweek while Oriol Romeu travelled with the squad following his long-term absence with a knee problem and is in contention.
David Moyes has his sights set on one final goal for his tenure as Everton manager, with the club able to achieve their record Barclays Premier League points total this weekend.
The Merseyside outfit - already certain to finish sixth in the table - will surpass their previous best haul of 65 by a point if they beat Chelsea.
It is something Moyes, overseeing his last Everton match before departing to succeed the retiring Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United this summer, is keen to sign off with.
Three days after it was confirmed last week that he will be replacing Ferguson, the 50-year-old saw his side take all three points from his final Goodison Park game as Toffees boss when they defeated West Ham 2-0 on Sunday, a match at which the home supporters gave him a rapturous reception.
Reflecting on that encounter and looking ahead to the Chelsea contest, Moyes - who admits the last week or so has been "tough" for him emotionally - said: "We finished the West Ham game off very well last week.
"That has put us in a league position where we can't go any further up or any further down.
"That is great, but we want to try to get a record points total if we can - that would be our final goal.
"It is a good game to finish off with, and it is not a game where there is nothing there."
Moyes has confirmed captain Phil Neville has already played his final game for the club, with the 36-year-old defender not being fit enough to feature on Sunday.
Neville, who announced last month his career as a Toffees player would not be extending beyond this season, misses out due to the knee problem that has been sidelining him recently while a knee complaint will also prevent midfielder Leon Osman from being involved.
