Chelsea Unveil New Away Kit for 2020/21 Campaign

Chelsea have unveiled their new away kit for the 2020/21 season, which will be on show when the Blues meet Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Tuesday evening.

The new home kit was debuted earlier this month but has brought mixed fortunes to the Blues, who fell 3-2 to West Ham before bouncing back with a 3-0 win over Watford.

Hopefully this away strip will bring more good luck to Chelsea, who took to their official website to give fans their first taste of the 'arctic blue' kit.

Combining modern colours with 'London's love for the craftsmanship of master tailors', the shirt also features a herringbone-style pattern across with occasional darker accents across both the front and the back to give it a fresh new feel.

"The colours and pattern of the away work really well," Mason Mount said of the shirt. "It looks great and it’s also a nice contrast to the home kit. Hopefully the fans will like it as well and we can push on and make them proud."

Chelsea Women striker Sam Kerr added: "The new away kit is a great addition to the line-up. It complements the home kit really well and I just can’t wait to get out on the pitch again wearing it."

The shirt comes with arctic blue shorts and dark blue socks, but perhaps the nicest part of the whole strip is a subtle addition to the torso, which features dark blue tape down the sides with the words 'The Pride of London' etched into it.

The shirt will be on show when Chelsea face Crystal Palace

"Chelsea’s away is inspired by a classic tailored aesthetic but filtered through a modern, street lens and colour palette," said Nike’s Scott Munson, VP, Nike Football Apparel. "This kit celebrates the style and creativity of the switched-on younger generation of SW6."

Chelsea will wear this new kit during Tuesday's meeting with Palace, which will give the Blues a chance to pull away from their top-four rivals before they play later in the round.
