Money-bags Chelsea may be forced to recall on-loan Striker Hernan Crespo because they can't buy a replacement striker.
Crespo, 30 had being at AC Milan all last season and it's his wish to remain in Italy.
Chelsea would be happy for him to stay if they could find a striker of their own.
The Premiership champions have being rebuffed by their summer targets and now may issue a come-back call to Crespo to solve their striker shortage.

Chelsea have tried to sign or being linked with Real Madrid's England striker Michael Owen, Juventus' David Trezeguet, Atletico Madrid's Spanish international striker Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto'o of Barcelona and Andriy Shevchenko of AC Milan.

All have turned down the Blues

With pre-season training looming, Jose Mourinho will want to sort out this debacle.
If he can't persuade chief executive Peter Kenyon to get the ball rolling, Mourinho will appeal direct to Roman Abramowich to weight in and influence a signing or two.
If this happens, Kenyon's position will become a source of debate.
