The Real Madrid left-back looks certain to leave the Santiago Bernabeu this summer and has been linked with a number of clubs, including Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon
But Coentrao ruled out a move to Sporting, using his official Facebook page to declare Benfica as the only club he'd return home for.
Coentrao said: "Contrary to rumours that I will play for Sporting, and despite the respect I have for club, the only Portuguese club for me is Benfica."
The 27-year-old has been previously been linked with a host of Premier League clubs including Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United who Coentrao almost joined on loan at the beginning of Moyes doomed Old Trafford reign.
A move to Stamford Bridge could become possible for Coentrao with current Blues left-back Filipe Luis being tipped for a move back to Ateltico Madrid, just one year after leaving
Chelsea could utilise the Portuguese international as a versatile replacement with Coentrao capable of player further forward as a left wing or as a defensive midfielder.
The Daily Star report that former Chelsea boss Rafa Benitez could look to offer Coentrao as part of a deal to bring either Diego Costa or Eden Hazard to Real Madrid as Benitez looks to build his Los Blancos side.
