Cesc Fabregas scored a stunning free-kick to put the Blues 2-0 up against a strong Vitesse Arnhem side. The Blues won 3-1 with a fourth-minute opener from Mohamed Salah and a strike by midfielder Nemanja Matic 16 minutes from time.
But it was then ex-Arsenal man Fabregas who looked the most composed player on the park as he brilliantly stroked a 25-yard curling free-kick into the back of the Dutch side's net midway through the first half.
