Cech Arrival !

21 year old Cech will move in the summer, after weeks of negotiating. The main thing they wanted, apart from a substantial payment(!) was to keep the young stopper till the summer, when they can look for a replacement.

Czech Cech, yes all the papers will love the puns, will join the blue boys in the summer, and will give Carlo Cudicini quality competition in goal.

Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri will now have Carlo Cudicini, Petr Cech, Neil Sullivan, Jurgen Macho and Marco Ambrosio all vying for the number one shirt.

"Petr Cech's transfer was signed on Monday between Rennes and Chelsea," read Rennes' club statement. "The Czech international will leave Brittany at the end of the season."

Cech will be looking to add to his 15 caps he's already won at international level, as he is Czech Republic's number one keeper for Euro 2004.

The fee is £7 million.
