Chelsea thrashed WBA 6-0 in their biggest ever win in the opening day of the Premier League.
Afterward Carlo Ancelotti, as pragmatic as ever said: “We played a good game.
“There were a lot of good things – Cech, Essien and other had problems in pre-season.
But Didier Drogba did a fantastic job- he worked hard as did Anelka and Malouda.
“We showed good mentality.
“I don’t know if Drogba is the best striker in the world but he has scored many goals and we are happy he is in our team.
“We had a difficult pre-season, now everyone is okay that is a good message we want to take from this game.
“We started the game well which was important and kept a high tempo – but WBA were in the game until the second goal.
“I am excited to score 6-0 on an opening game – but it was our job, nothing special, I am happy.
