He said "Every time a great player leaves it's sad and Hernan is a great player. Last season he was unlucky with injury and he didn't settle well into life in England, but that doesn't make him a bad player.
"Look at his record and you will see that. Even though he had a bad time, he still scored goals.
"He wanted to leave, but that doesn't mean to say we won't miss him."
