Bruce Praises Forssell

Forssell was outstanding for Birmingham last season, but his start to this season was blighted by a niggling knee injury. Unfortunately, that niggling injury has turned out to be a serious knee problem, forcing Mikael out until March at the earliest!

And, with Bruce revealing that the loan deal is now over, he decided it was only right to pay tribute to a fantastic player. Brucey baby said: "Obviously it is possible that he has played his last game for Birmingham. I know that he enjoyed playing with Birmingham and we will have to wait and see what happens when he is fully fit.

"He enjoyed coming back and we thought we had pulled off a master stroke when we got him for another season. Within six weeks it has been turned upside down.

"It is a huge blow and it's like Liverpool without Steven Gerrard. It's like Manchester United without Ruud van Nistelrooy.

"It has the same impact on us because Forssell was the fifth or sixth top goalscorer in the Premiership last season."

Well Brucey, us Chelsea fans will be hoping that the Forss will be with us next season!
