Big test for Avram

Avram Grant has a team selection problem tonight?
Chelsea face Liverpool in the Carling Cup and a place in the semi-final is at stake.
But Avril dosen't know who to play,
Now, he has stated that this compeition is "not the title they want" but he might be forced to play players who he wouold much rather not.
Chelsea have lost John Terry for six weeks. Neither Alex or Ben Tal-Heim have covered themselves in glory while Richardo Carvalho has been out injured.
Now Riccy is available, Grant could be forced to play the Portgual centre-back just to steady the defensive ship - but, this is not the title Avril wants, so it's a risk Carvalho could get injured again.

Petr Cech made a howler for Arsenal's goal and is coming back from injury too. Carlo Cudicini could play, but Cech needs match time.
But, this is not the title Avril wants, so it's a risk Cech could could get injured again.
Drogba is injured, so Shevcheko will play.
But, this is not the title Avril wants, so it's a risk Sheva could get injured.
Michael Ballack has not played since April. Chelsea will lose Essien in January to Africa.
Ballack is needed for those games, but also needs match practice.
But, this is not the title Avril wants, so it's a risk Ballack could get injured again.

So, you see Avril's dilemna?

What would he do, what would you do?
