Baba Eyeing Stoke Return

Last updated : 05 February 2003 By Rich Godden
The injury occured when Baba attempted a shot on goal in last weeks game against Leeds, damaging his groin.

He was forced to leave the action shortly afterwards and the extent of his injury has now been revealed.

Physio Mike Rolls said, "Celestine strained his abductor muscle, giving him a groin strain.

"He's been scanned and although it's been shown not to be serious, he'll be out for a while.

"We're resting him and his rehab will start when the time is right.

"These sort of injuries always repair well and there are seldom complications."

Good news for Baba, who has been a regular at left back for most of this season, despite not hitting top form. He will be looking to regain the same level of consistency he had last season when he does make his return...
