Andre Schurrle on the verge of Chelsea move

Bayer Leverkusen, have held talks with the London club and are close to a ?20million player-exchange deal involving Kevin De Bruyne. Agent, Ingo Haspel is waiting to hear from both clubs but is confident that a deal will be agreed by the end of the weekend.

Chelsea have been tracking Sch?rrle for a couple of seasons now and Rudi V?ller confirmed last year that the club would not let him go for less than ?23.5m. If Leverkusen manage to secure De Bruyne on loan then they may be willing to demand less for the transfer of the German however.

Sch?rrle has played 22 times for the German national side and has netted 14 goals in all competitions this season for Leverkusen. Schurrle can be deployed as a striker but can also be used on either wing as he possesses lightening pace. He has the ability to score from distance and is very skilful; a midfield including Juan Mata, Eden Hazard and Ramires would be as competitive as any in the division.

The speculation regarding Jose Mourinho and his return to Stamford Bridge could mark a summer spending spree for owner Roman Abramovich and embark on more success for Chelsea over the next few seasons.
