The Blues sailed into a two goal lead at Stamford Bridge only to be pegged back to 2-2 by a resolute Wanderers outfit.

"It was a bad result," the Chelsea boss said after the game.

"We try and win every game. Sometimes you draw, mostly you win and you lose in fewer cases.

"We should have got all three points, however." He added that Bolton were a difficult side to play against: "I don't like their style of football and I would never play like that, but it's effective.

"But Eidur (Gudjohnsen) had two great chances to win the game for us."

"I did nothing wrong in preparation for the game," he added.

"We spend 20 minutes discussing their set plays before kick off but what can you do when they just sail the ball into the air all the time. Maybe shoot it down?"

Confronted about the error by Petr Cech for Boltons first goa first goal, Mourinho said: "I do not criticise my players. I prefer to talk about what good things they did.

"He is a top player and will play against Charlton next week in the league.

"Carlo Cudicini will play in the Champions League against Paris Saint Germain on Wednesday."
