Ranieri's Rants: Charlton (h)

Claudio said: "It's not important if the manager is changed. It's important to achieve something. I want, either next season or maybe in 2007, that everybody should remember that Ranieri worked very well. That is my aim.

"I want to win, I am ambitious. I want to win every match. But I cannot say we will necessarily win because Mr Abramovich has spent a lot of money. It took Alex Ferguson seven years to win something and I'm trying after seven matches.

"Look at Inter Milan. Their chairman changed 103 players and a lot of managers without winning anything."

Claudio claims that his side are still in the title hunt, despite trailing leaders Arsenal by six points... "We are in the race. Every match is a must-win game because Manchester United and Arsenal are used to the run-in.

"Playing Charlton is never easy but we played very strongly against them this time. We created chances in both halves of the game and Adrian Mutu was quite unlucky that he didn't put one away.

"We knew it would be a tough game but it was very important for us to win and get all three points."
